I think I just figured out part of the problem...the rod that connects the bottom of the fender to the top of the fender was set at it's middle setting. I loosened up the bolt and pulled the fender out and then tightened the bolt. Now the flaps are just about level and not pointing up and inward the center of the truck. I do have a question for you. When I was looking at the bottom bolt I noticed there was a piece of black plastic that ran between the fender lip and the fender. Did you still have this black piece installed or did you take it out?
Hi John, I got one more picture for you, it shows the name and number of the mud flap. I saw from your picture the gap you have and I bet it is enough for that lip moulding. Hope you have the right ones, or maybe the holes were miss drilled on the pair you have. Good Luck. Dan
Hi John, I didn't need to use any other tools than a wrench. I made a separate Album for Mud Flaps and posted a few more shots from today. I remember the screw issues I had and it was with the way the bolt needs to go in for the brace. ( One of the pictures shows the bar.) Maybe they have the wrong flaps for the back. I think there is a different one when you have the wheel lip moulding like mine. I think mine cost 90.00 for the set.
Hi Irishjoe45, I don't recall the mudflap part number but I bought it as a set (all 4 ) from the dealer and did the install myself. I recall the backs being a little tuffer than the fronts for installing the screws. If I come across the paperwork for the part # I will be shore to send it. Any questions feel free to ask.
