I have a 2000 F150 4.6L 4x4 and my temp gauge fluctuates from low normal to mid range. I've replaced thermostat with not much change. Truck doesn't overheat and when gauge is in low reading the heater pumps out good heat. I figure it's probably the sender unit acting up or dirty connection. Also where exactly is the sender located?

I have a 2000 F150 4.6L 4x4 and my temp gauge fluctuates from low normal to mid range. It used to stay at mid range. I've replaced thermostat with not much change. Truck doesn't overheat and when gauge is in low reading the heater pumps out good heat. I figure it's probably the sender unit acting up or dirty connection. I could use a little input from you guys as alot of brain power is usually better. Also where exactly is the sender on the intake.

    Thanks
