dmh1969. Check all your conections into coil, from coil to dist, wires on dist. and check that you have good engine to body ground. Had the same problem w/ NY winters and salt that rusted some connections and rusted a ground wire off. fixed that and cleaned connections and it took of. I don't know if you have a fused link in there or not, if you do it may be corroded or loose. Good luck
I have a 1995 Ford f-150 with the 5.0 in it.I moved rom Indiana to Florida. I have recently been experiencing some igniton issues that I cannot figure out! At first the truck would start up and run pretty good. Then if I parked it for a little bit it ould not start up at all let it sit for about 4 hrs and it would fire right up.As time went on that would no longer work.I replaced the coil, igniton control modular, distributer, pick up coil. I checked for spark and there was none. I checked to see if the coil was getting power and it is. But, no spark is going to the distributor. I unhook the PCM and I get spark to the distributor hook the PCM back up and the truck starts fine, but, it is sluggish.Any ideas?
