I haven't really heard anything about the Royal Purple oil. When they advertised it, it said something about lasting longer than regular oil, more horsepower, and increased gas mileage. I can believe that it lasts longer than the regular oil, but I don't believe the it increases hp and mpg lol Just change your oil with good quality oil and put a quart of Lucas Oil stabilizer in it, and you should be fine. Or, you could wait untill your a quart low with the oil thats in it right now, and add a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer. If it were me, I'd drain the Mobile 1 synthetic out of it. After that mishap with me putting Mobile Clean 5000 oil in my truck, I go blind and start cussing when I see a quart of Mobile oil laying around lol

Oh yea, I've heard after you put synthetic oil in a motor, then it'll KILL it if you change back to regular oil (I'm not sure though). Next oil change, put a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer in it, along with Castrol or Pennzoil synthetic oil. See if that helps anything. Right here is what you'll be looking for http://www.lucasoil.co.uk/products/10001.jpg

I put that Mobile Clean 5000 oil in my truck, and it sounded like the lifters were gonna shoot out of the motor. I changed it to Castrol GTX, and I've not had any problems like that before. If you think your oil is to thin, then wait untill the motor needs a quart of oil, and add a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer. That stuff works wonders, and its thick! If your truck is losing oil, and not burning it, then I say it has to be leaking out somewhere. If you have a front seal going bad (I think I remember you posting that in a previous thread, but I'm not sure), then I'd say you also have valve cover gaskets leaking also. Thats VERY common with motors with a little bit of mileage on them, and it's not very hard to replace them either. I have 102,000 miles on my 300 6 cylinder, and my valve cover gasket is starting to seep a little bit of oil out. Now if you have to change a leaky front seal, then THAT'S a job! I'd rather rebuild a whole entire truck before I did that lol

nah, not really man.... I'm getting ready to dump a bunch of money into new tires for it... my back tires are completely bald right now.... its wintertime and snowing like crazy... i've not had the first problem in the snow this year, but the other day it snowed and turned into slush.... i went down my steep driveway, the truck took off sliding to the left, and i almost went over a 30 feet bank and through someone's house.... i about pissed my pants haha
