Good Morning. I am converting a 1989 f150 xlt lariat from 2wd to 4wd. The local auto recycle lot has a donor truck and the sales guy said I needed to buy a his transmission to get a longer tailstock. Currently i have a 5 speed manual on a inline 6 300 cid. Some of my previous projects (chevy's) only required a change in driveshaft length. Can you give me advice. Thanks. Rocky Mount NC
