I have 1996 Ford F150. I took it to town and had not problem, but when I stopped and got out. When I got back in, it won't crank, or fire, wait a few minutes it will start up sometimes. When it does fire up - drive about 10 miles, park and then sometimes it may crank sometimes not. Well not it has completely stopped. already changed the crank shaft sensor. What could this be?

Hello, My name is Dan. I have a 1990 F-150 XLT lariat with manual hubs. My dad and I took it apart to get to the ball joints. On the hub before we got the axle nut off( with the castle looking socket) in the grove, he says he pushed a flat pin out though the other side. Not its lost. I went to the dealership and explained the situation with photos and they said that that the groove is for the key on the the washer part after the bearings. Do you have any insight on this matter? Is there a flat pin or key of some sort that wedges in there? I don't see how you can push a key through to the other side with tab being on the washer, but he claims he pushed it through. He said he had a similar situation on his ford explorer but that had the auto hubs which shows in the diagram some sort of clip, but on the manuals, it does not.?????????
