Thanks again for your opinion. The door guards are everything you said about them. They look great, were easy to install and are doing the job. A terrific addition, especially with the extra wide opening F150 doors.
Now a suggestion for you. This is ingenius. At Autoanything I found and bought the Dee Zee Tailgate Assist: $35.95. I have the tailgate step, which makes a heavy tailgate, but this would be an asset even to a regular tailgate. It's a shock absorber that remarkably fits in the gap between the tailgate and the bed. It controls the tailgate descent like a screen door dampener, but better. Took just 15 minutes to install.
