    That's what I did;
    I ordered a 87-91 F150 instrument cluster with tachometer off eBay and installed it, Ford already wired it for a tachometer, it's a plug and play type.

    The tachometer in the instrument cluster you installed should have worked, but apparently something was wrong with it before you installed the cluster.

    I looked on eBay this morning and didn't see one listed w/tach.

    Thanks for the compliment!

    Hey, Nice truck!!!

    Maybe you can help me out with some mods I am trying to do on my 87. I noticed you had a tach, did that come stock or did you put in a new cluster. Mine don't have one and I would really like to have one. I pulled one out of a 91 and put it in mine but the tach did not work.

    Factory.

    I can get a better pic of the whole thing tomorrow if you want.

    Boneyard! Be sure to check rangers, F-series, broncos, & possibly E-series of that vintage too. I'm guessing 87'-89', maybe 90" & later. You live somewhere where it gets cold part of the year?

    Oh that's a heat collector. no exhaust actually mixes w/ the intake air. when that diverter is open, air is drawn across the manifolds & mixes w/ the intake air. I remember you now. What year? You need the collector & the elbow?

    Doesn't make sense. The colder the air intake, the better.Cooler air develops more horsepower w/ less residual cylinder temp increase. Is it some type of cold climate use item?
