hey, I posted a forum on here called "I need help!" and somebody said that you would be able to help me more.. if you're the "obus" they're refering to.
I am having trouble with my 4th gear. I put it in D and drive normally and when I get to the 4th gear switch it's like I threw it into Neutral. It won't go..it won't engage the 4th gear. I have to push the O/D off button so I can stay in 3rd and it won't screw up.
somebody replied saying that my OD clutches are shot...
how does the OD clutch go bad by the way? I mean, I can't exactly shift aggresively into 4th gear lol. I can still get around with my truck.... today I had to drive like an hour to my parents house and had to stay in 3rd gear.. which I found out can get at least to 85 MPH in my truck. I have the 3.55 rear end
i dont race my truck either, thats what the car is for. The Xcal wll fix all of that stuff. Do I think they pay for themselves in the long run? Honestly, no. Hoping for that will only leave you dissapointed, so dont bother wishing for it. My truck after being tuned is doing 16.5mpg in town, which is almost 2mpg better than before.
Thanks. I don't race my truck or do any insane off roading, all i want to do is improve fuel mileage, throttle respones, and i heard you can fix that infamous sluggish transmission with a tuner. Do these things pay for themselves in the long run, or are their other ways i can do this?
