Picked up an 89 ford Bronco with a 302 for my son. Has no spark at coil, have changed coil, drop in distributer, and TFI module to no avail. Currently in the process of tracing wires and grounds- with spout disconnected I am getting pwr (pulse) on the tach (-) side of coil, and according to my manuel, I have a wire going to ground. Read your post on 6-24-10 on bench testing the TFI module- all was within specs execpt the GND to PIP In, it was showing open- this is an O'Reillys module($35)- went back to store and it tested ok. While I was there I tested their top shelf Borg- Warner module($55)- same outcome open circuit on GND-PIP IN. Is this something I should look into alittle more. Have a bunch of time into this thing and that TFI modules is still bugging me. Want to get over to a Ford dealer and test one of their modules to see what it reads. Any help you can be would be greatly appreciated.

I live in North Georgia. So we have about 5 months of cold to very cold nights and mornings.

I have been looking in boneyards, but only at F-series trucks, I will start looking at the other models also.

I would love as many pics of the thing as I can get. If I can't find one, I am going to try and have one made.

Yes, thats what I am looking for and need, the collector and the elbow. My truck is a 1987.

This is the first time I have seen this part for my truck. Is that the factory collector and elbow on your truck or an after market?

You have any idea where I can get one?

From my understanding it uses the warm from the exhaust until the motor warms up. Like a carb motor. Your truck should have it according to the vacuum diagram you sent me.

Vacuum runs from intake to TVS to top of air cleaner to duct valve in the air intake tube.

Upon a cold start up, vacuum will open up the duct valve in the air intake tube to allow warm air from the exhaust to rise into the air cleaner and into the throttle body.

    ymeski,

I have been trying to find a exhaust shroud that sends heat up to my air intake through the riser tube and have had no luck in the search. I talked to Ed (partsguy.com) and he could not find one either. I have also search my local junkyards and can not find one.

Is the one on your truck the factory or is it an aftermarket? Any idea where I might be able to find one?

Do you know the correct name for the part? Ed was able to get me the OEM part number (E7TZ9A603A).

Hopefully, before too long, I will make it a show truck. Actually had someone offer me $4,500 for it, but I don't want to get rid of it(I'm having too much fun with it). I could really use a motorcycle right now to save some money. 400 riders are alot of people, would have loved to see it. The Air Force gig is slowly coming along even though I wish it would go faster. When I finally get on I'll be stationed in Mississippi. Not too far from home but far enough to make me happy.

Sorry, I haven't been online in awhile, I have been really busy. I did the sea foam treatment and it helped a little bit. I didn't put it in the oil though because I am running royal purple oil and the say not to add any additives to their oil. I'm getting a high idle on the truck now a guy informed me that it may be some of my vac lines. So, that's just going to be another project. Sooner or later I'll being a 6 inch lift put on when I can find the money to install it. Other then that it is coming along just fine.
    How have you been?
