If you take the trails that I told you to go on you should be good, but if its raining hard watch where you go because this clay is nasty! The trails that I go on are the Gardens of the Gods down to the coast line to Polihua Beach, Keomuku Beach road, Ship reck beach, the trail to Kaunolu, but all the trails are good as long as we dont get hit by heavy rain. JUST DONT GO OVER THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN ON MUNRO TRAIL, BECAUSE WE HAVE HAD ALOT OF RAIN AND GUARANTEE YOU WILL GET STUCK. Yeah I live here I currently stationed here on Lanai, because I am a police officer with the Maui Police Department. You can get a trail map from the rental place and Hotel lanai, if not you can try to get one from the Police station, I try to locate one and have held at the station, in case you need one. I work the mid night shift right now, so I have it on the front counter, your name is Mike right? Make sure you guys enjoy the beach at Manele, its the nicest beach in Hawaii if you ask me.

Have fun man enjoy Hawaii dont get your jeep stuck on Lanai the rental companies rape you in the pocket book if they have to come pull you out, I think they charge $300.00.

Nice are you staying at the Four Seasons Manele, Kolele, or Hotel Lanai? The trail to shipwreck is ok, its not to bad. the trail that goes to the Gardens of the Gods down to the coast line to Polihua Beach, that is an better trail for ruggedness. When you get your jeep ask for a trail map, where are getting your rental jeep from? Because if your getting it from Dollar RAC and you take the jeep back muddy they try to charge you extra for cleaning.

There is a lot of good four wheelin on Lanai, most of the island is undeveloped and utilized for hunting. There are several hunting and fishing trails that you drive on.
