Yeah I like how those guys set theirs up so its back out of the way and not so noticeable. Did you take your air damn off?

It all good I am off for the next couple of weeks so I am going to try to get a bunch of mods done. I
I figured the LEDs would work like that. I think it would be a easy mod to do, but I think I would get annoyed with it quickly. I was just thinking of doing something under the box so it wouldn't be to bright. I had the 6 seater on my 06 and my wife would always invite people to sit up front. So from that point on it was flow thur console or nothing.

I seen both of the set ups with the Crees. I really liked the ones that were cut into the bumpers and the ones that hang from the bottoms.

Couple of question you might be able to answer. Did you do the ambient cup holder mod? I was wondering if I connected the ambient lights to the sub speaker wires would they blink with the subs? Than again I don't know if it would be all that noticeable.

Sorry for going on. I don't have anyone to talk about my ford with. My wife loves my truck, but doesn't understand half the things I am talking about.

I would just like to say the moderator really need to get all the good mods and put them in one place. Your kind of like a god right now. I think I am gonna order the cup holder thing for sure I can swallow 20 bucks over 50. The Crees scare me a little because of rust and cutting the holes in my bumper. That '07 I just had the painted bumper started to bubble up. So stuff like that scares me. I am gonna try the LEDs hidden route first and if that don't work I'll look up the Crees.

Yeah I'm retarded. I have never owned anything that's not a ford, and I really like my stuff to match. I have owned 2 tempos 1 ranger 2 explores 2 escapes 4 f150s and 1 Mazda 3. The Mazda was owned 33% by ford at the time. The tempos were high school and I didn't really have a choice. The ranger 1 escape 1 explorer and three of the f150s where all Oxford white. I am finally moving on from that color. I can solder so that is the route I am going to try. How does for do it? Thanks for the link, now I am seriously thinking of all the other spots I can put LEDs. I am seriously think of tying into the reverse lights and sticking some on the back some where like the spot where everyone puts that long break light under the tailgate. I just need it to be brighter when I am backing up to trailers.

I like how everything blends with the sterling grey. I bought my wife an escape in '12 in the sterling grey in anticipation of buy this truck. All my other trucks have been Oxford white. I see you have some LEDs on your running boards. I was thinking about doing this mod. I have two sets I bought off f150 LEDs in the bed and I was thinking of taking one down and using it to do some on my running boards. I would be interested to know how you did it. I think I would just have to solder the wires on and than connect to the same wires that I tied the beds into so they come on with the cargo lights? I was wondering if I could jump sets so I don't have to do one long strip? I don't know how many times I have bit the dust on black ice (mostly in Home Depot parking lots).

I dig the running boards on my '14s. I had a '07 fx2 with matching running boards and I like the 14's better. They are just slick as **** and need to stick out about two inches more. I also like the idea of them blocking door digs. The only reason I can think that ford left them on so far was for aero dynamics. I like your emblems. I follow the sterling grey thread.
