I bet it wasn't cheap lol. Everything is original except the drivetrain. It was a dragcar in 71' and it got repo'ed and the dude took the whole drivetrain out. That's when my grandpa got it in 72' and he went through a few engines and after all said and done it got a police drivetrain with the 360. No idea what the rear dif gearing is..... probably sh!tty. It had 4.10 from factory I believe. When I do the seats and headliner I think I'll just have a shop match it up as close as possible. It'll be cheaper.

Oh yes, Mopar is expensive to build. Chevy you can build a 350 cheap as hell lol. Mopar, nope. I need to win the lotto haha.

Are you restoring yours to almost original or what? I see your dad's Challenger looks pretty ****ing original, even the rims.. I sorta want to do as original as I can, but I also want to do some metro mod. Like new rims and stuff like that. Keep interior simple and clean like original. The dash and stuff is pretty warped from sitting in the sun which blows. Lot's in interior sh!t needs to be redone. Carpet, headliner ect ect..

I already bought the 440 when I was rolling in the $$. But I hope it don't cost me to much to rebuild it and get it ready to be dropped in.. you know? It should be pretty fast with the 440 and 4 spd. I also have a 727 auto tranny if I wanted to use that. But I think I'll stick with 4 spd manual.

Because I want power lol. It's a muscle car, it won't be a daily driver, so why not go big on power? Original motor was a 440 anyways. So when I do drive it, I can teach these rice rockets what's up. LOL.
