Yea, its nice to be independent, but when stuff breaks or gets messed up it hits you especially deep. You know when you scratch the tailgate it's painful ha ha. "Most people are like damn that sucks. I'll wax it out or have it touched up, or just leave it."
I'm like, "DAMMIT! Where is my reserve touch up black. Guys I have to go home now. My truck is scratched..." ha ha!

Thanks! I appreciate it. We both have trucks that are very valuable, but we spent a fraction of the actual price. And about the ranger being your mod rod, that's the way to go. Keep the daily as a reliable daily driver. Then mod the other ride to the gills. Keep your big one clean and straight forward, and break axles on the secondary ha ha! It sucks to have your primary broken down. Props though, buddy. You've got nice rigs and truly know how to fix em up and keep em going. More people need to be like you.

I got it during my winter break for my freshman year of college. That was December of 2009. I fixed it up and customized it just a little by January 2010. Like the 6th or something. I drove it a little and made sure it wouldn't explode or anything. Got it registered, inspected, and insured. Then I drove it 320 miles back to college and it's been fine ever since. Coming up on a year and a half and I've put about 15K (miles) on it. Then put about another $4,000 in custom stuff and aftermarket products on it. What about yours?

Wow, you and I have lots in common. For starters, my dad owns a body shop. Also, my Scab 150 was a totaled vehicle with a salvage title. Got it for like $4500 and put another $1,500-$2,000 into it and lots of love and got Darthvader! I love being in the business! I saw you on the "other vehicles" thread. I saw the salvage rebuild in your sig.

Well I guess just was it worth it for you? Can it still be titled? I know it may be diferent from state to state but just if it was a good way to get a deal on a truck, if the parts werent to bad. Did you repair yours? Thanks for any help

Hey! you voted for 1987 F-150 XLT 4X4 now he has 6 and I have 5 "LOL" Just kidding. 1987 F-150 XLT 4X4 got my vote when he was up for truck of the month. In fact my wife liked his truck so much she sign up on the forum as another member and voted for his truck also. She also wanted her own t-shirt.
