Would we be able to just purchase the new sync 3 and have the old removed and installed. I would assume it would work its just a new head unit?

I just purchased a 2012 F150 Platinum Edition with the touchscreen system. The truck is in the shop for at least the next week getting some warranty engine work done. While it is there, I'd like to make sure I don't (ever!) have to take it back, and I want to make sure all of the "little details" are taken care of while it's sitting and waiting for parts. With that being said, I'm emailing my sales guy to have a couple of things looked at. First and foremost is making sure that Sync and NAV are updated. What version of Sync should I be on for a 2012? I do not have the VIN (I don't have the truck in my possession) but I could probably get it if needed. Can you offer any advice or any other things I should have them check while it's there?

Any chance that us 2010 Ford owners will ever get a Sync update so we can get MAp working so we can send/receive text messages. I just bought a used 2010 Ford F150 Lariat Super Crew with NAV. Very frustrating and confusing.

I drive a 2011 F150 XLT Screw 5.0L. The website says my Sync is up to date at V3.2.2 updated in 2011. Is there a more current update? Seems odd there have been no updates in 3 years. Thanks

I got a quick question about a problem I'm having with my radio. Everytime I start my truck, the radio will come on a different setting (for lack of a better word) than what is was on when I turned the truck off last. For instance, if I was listening to songs on a flash drive the next time I started the truck it might come on the radio or the line sync or even am/fm radio. My local dealership says there is nothing they can do about it. I have owned several Ford trucks over the years with absolutely no problems and the last 3 had the SYNC and I refuse to believe that is the case. This truck is an '13 F-150 XLT SuperCrew Ecoboost with Max Tow and Max. Payload. Sorry, I don't have the VIN with me right now but I can send it later. Thanks, Ernie.

I used the link and shared it with others on this forum. I voted for this change and so did others. I offered my feedback. I looked today and noted the + votes for the auto reconnect idea have decremented back to 2. I am SO sick of getting the run-around on this. Who can I contact?

Is the Ford IVT Team taking any action on the issue of Sync Source defaulting to Line In instead of remembering it was using Bluetooth Audio. The systems with MFT do this. The systems without MFT do not (although they used to).

My primary phone always connects to bluetooth as soon as I start the vehicle but it will not resume the media stream when I turn off the vehicle. It really is a pain to have to say "bluetooth audio" and then "Play" to resume playing EVERY time I stop. It should just remember and resume the same way it remembers the radio was on and tuned to FM 105.5 the next time I start the vehicle. I've contacted Ford customer service numerous times. I've talked about it here. Others have expressed the same desire to have this changed back to the way it used to work in previous model years.

I've worked in the technology industry for decades. This seems an easy change to make. Please! It may seem silly but I absolutely hate my Ford truck because of this.

Hey I have a 13 F 250 that 5 mos old and the touch screen doesn't work. The sync and the nav and entertainment all work but not by the screen. The dealer can't figure it out, what do I do?
