when I was changing my leaf springs I did it at the wasilla high auto shop, I am on preaty good terms with the techer and if I need to work on somthing he will more than likely let me work on it, it is nice to have a car lift to lift the truck up, but it took us about 6 hours, alot of pb blaster, a torch, and brute force to get the bolts out because the were rusted in there haha

oh man, i bought mine for 3500 4 years ago now with 79k miles on it. 2 years with no problems, hit 94k miles and the transmission went out $1700 gone there, then had to repair both rear leaf spring hangers for like $150 i think. then someone backed into my bedside for a total of 2200 in damage. was about 200 bucks short of totaling the thing out. almost did just because they were guna give me 8k at the time, woulda just bought it back for like 500 and fixed it. but i didn't want the reconstructed title on such a nice vehicle.

when I bought my truck, I drove it home about 40-50 miles and the next morning I went out to start it, and it wouldnt start, we took the starter to oreillys and had them test it, it kicked its self off the tester haha, we got a new starter and put it on and it has started up great everytime, after that I have changed the heater core because it was leeking, the rear leaf springs HAD to be changed because the two middle leafs on the back half of the driverside leafs broke completely off, I have also changed the front u joints because you could grab the cv axels and shake them, and I have changed the tps, I still need to teplace my radiator because it leeks, and my gas tanks because they leek, I bought my truck for $1000, and have put a couple hundred into it and still have to put a couple hundred in it haha, not to mention it needs alot of body work, it has a good bit of rust haha
