Yeah you should be able to get the VHT spray at your local auto parts store. It has become popular over the last few years. The thing with VHT is it is a transparent black so your tail lights still light up. Depending on how much clear and sanding you do plus how dark you are comfortable with will depend on how much you need. I think I bought two cans because I wanted to be on the safe side but didn't fully use the second. If you don't spray some clear over them you will have more of a matte finish. This is how mine look. You'll see some on here with a full gloss finish (like the paint on the truck). That's because they sanded and cleared. Good luck and I want to see the pictures when you're done. It's a low cost improvement that will drastically change the look of your truck. Plus it's something YOU did and not something bought.

If you have any questions let me know. I do love the black xlt. I wish i had your front bumper tho. Wish i had fog lights.

Thanks! The tail lights are stock and painted with the VHT lens spray. A lot of people on here have used it and you can find a few posts that will walk you through on how to paint them. I just taped off my back up lights. I did the same thing to the third tail light. The spray is manufactured by VHT and called VHT lens spray (or something to that effect). The headlights are the same ones that are in the Harley Davidson models. I bought those off of Ebay. If you're interested in those, just google or look on Ebay for Black Headlights. Some guys are painting their headlights, but that was a little too involved for me. It just made more sense to spend the money. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask.

The pic you commented on was before I had really done anything. That was actually the day I bought it.
