How hard is a Rack and Pinion job? Getting a whining noise from my wife's Sable ( which is the car we put most of the miles on ), had the power steering pump replaced and flushed. Was quiet for a few days and started again. Called mechanic and he said that it could be the rack and pinion. From what I've looked up online, it's a big job and we d?on't have the money to pay somebody to do it. Have you ever done one?
