to undo the second "screw", i had to undo the adjuster knob. give the black part a counter clockwise turn to unlock. once unlocked, i used a socket wrench with a 10mm bit to unscrew the white knob. after some turning, you can pull the whole knob off leaving the white stick attached to the reflector
