History
I bought this 390/C6 2WD shorty in December of 2007 for $1k to use as an errand runner but wanted it to be 'cool' as well. I have really given this truck a major makeover on a budget and it's been one of the most fun vehicles I've owned. I've rebuilt this truck using almost entirely wrecking yard parts.

Exterior
Before and after shots shown here from the night I brought it home to the way it sits today. I have replaced the cab, core support, hood, right fender, grille, bumpers, painted it all satin black, and added a few new shiny bits. I also added new 15x7 and 15x8 steelies and new 1942 Ford truck stainless caps.

Interior
Here's another before and after of the interior. The cab, as mentioned above, is a 'new' one I pulled from a '72 at the wrecking yard. I also found a bench seat w/ a center armrest from an '89 F250, installed insulation and new red carpet, fabricated a cool, custom gauge panel/cluster, installed a Lokar floor shifter, and added new 3-pt. seat belts with a center lap belt.

Under the Hood
You guessed it...another before and after. The current 390 is just a 'rattle can overhaul' for now along with an Edelbrock RPM intake/carb, a set of full-length headers, electric fan mounted to a new radiator, and electronic ignition. I also blasted and powder coated an old set of Cal Custom valve covers I bought off of craigslist. I have recently finished a C6 rebuild which includes a shift kit and new 2200-2500 stall Hughes converter and the block, crank, and rods are back from the machine shop for the new 390. The block was bored, decked, and align-honed. The crank was turned 0.010" and polished and the rods were reconditioned on the big ends and treated to new bushings on the small ends.
