Default outside temp senor or control module

i recently hit a deer and the outside temp sensor was not harmed, but it worked fine before and now all it does is show 3 ---, i have replaced the sensor and it still does the same....i would like to get this working, any ideas

when its a sensor issue it will display the temp of 60 degrees. maybe the sensor plug has a issue.

Good luck . I cant help . What year is your truck ?I have a 97. Not one for having to keep up with Jones on whistles and bells but that is one whistle wish was offered . Im always wondering about outside temp. I wonder if there is a way I could put one in cheap
