Help with wiring driving lights
I wasn't sure exactly where to post this so if it's in the wrong place so mods please move……..
I'm going to install a set Rigid Dually's on my 2012 Eco Lariat SCREW.
I want them to work as follows…..
1. Work with the headlight bright switch,
2. Switched on independent of headlights
3. Switched totally off!
I have some extremely dark and untraveled roads around here and don't want to keep messing with a switch to use the driving lights. Other times they might be used independently… other times shut off.
This is a wiring diagram a friend did for me to make it so. He mentioned I "MIGHT" want to use a couple of 12v diodes to prevent feedback into the headlight circuit but said he'd try it FIRST without.
I also want to tap my power from a keyed source (as opposed to the battery) in case they are switched on and go unnoticed. Do not need dead battery!!
Here's the diagram and I'm wondering if anyone see's a problem? Any advice suggestions or feedback will be most appreciated…..
