Default 1996 4.9L Fuel Pump fuse blown

My 1996 f-150 XLT 4.9L Inline 6 300 has ran fine for the past recent months. Recently I was driving and the truck just stopped running while i was driving down the road. I stopped and checked all my fuses and the fuse for the fuel pump was blown. Its a 20 amp Maxi fuse. I replaced it and the very second I put it into drive the truck died out again and it blew the same fuse. I tried a higher amperage fuse "30" and it did the exact same thing. I can start the truck and drive in reverse fine but when I put it into drive and try to go the fuse blows instantly. I've looked for frayed wires or bad plugs. Can't seem to find the problem! Anyone that could point me in the right direction would be awesome!!
