Clunking
My 1991 ford f150 started making a clunking noise that you could feel right underneath you in the cab in drive and didn't want to go forward. Reverse no clunking and it would go. Checked the drive shaft and U-joints are fine. Dropped the transmission, no shavings. Rear end no shavings. Waiting for used transmission to be delivered. Flywheel good.
Torque Converter not sure what to look for.
Anyone ever experienced this?
Also, when the transmission is put in will the torque converter fill up when the transmission fluid is being added through the dipstick or is it a separate doing? It is the beast E4OD auto.Thanks.

I have never had a problem like that. But as far as filling up the torque converter . I have always filled it up half way while it is out of the transmission but it will suck the fluid up when you fill it through the dipstick tube.
