Default Transfer case shifter repair

Today I went down to the river to have some fun in my 93 F150, and when I went to take it out of 4x4 my shifter came out of the floor. It looks like the broken Part has been cracked for some time, and trying to shift to 4x4 finally finished it. Do I have to pull out the entire shift assembly to replace this broken part?? Id kinda like to not burn twice as much gas. I'm happy, and mad that it broke in 4x4. Happy because I'm not just 2wd, and mad because my fuel efficiency has dropped to nearly half( 30 miles to a quarter tank ), and I can't do burnout a anymore. Any help is very much appreciated!!

Thanks! Called the junk yard here and all the f150's and 250's or anything with a bw1356 has the same issue. I'll have to order that soon
