Default Hollowing out second catalytic converter

My truck is a 94 f150 with the 5.0. If I am wanting to hollow out just the second catalytic converter would it be too difficult to cut off the pipe right behind the second converter and hammer it out from the back of the converter? And can you easily remove all of the catalyst?

The first one's actually a pre - cat, the second one is the cat. You can do what you're saying, but unless it's actually plugged up, you won't gain anything (power and mileage) worth the trouble. You'll just make your truck stink and dump carbon monoxide.
Cats aren't really restrictive. You would gain more by putting a freer flowing muffler and piping.
