Default 300 i6 to a 302 V8 engine swap

Having trouble with the wiring harness for my 302. When I purchased this engine the harness was cut but all plugs are connected and so I am trying to use my plug from my 300 i6 and solder it with the old harness not sure but there are a lot of the same colors and they go to the same places I'm just not sure bc I have two or three wires without mates and have doubled or tripled some colors is this correct or have I fallen off my rocker again? I need some advice and I need my truck running please?

Hey J.W. Snow jr

Hey buddy it makes a big difference as to which year the truck is. I checked profile, no info. What year truck with the I6 300? And in thinking 6 cylinder, to 8, I'm sure you'll have to add in wires not double connect ones to an existing, but best thing is why not try a wire harness swap. You already need a computer, maybe find a donor.

P.S. This is also in the wrong section. This is the how to section as in, articles on how to do something. Not ask questions.
