I have a 94 f150 5.0 and it appears that my front tank ain't working right. It wont pump when you switch to the front tank. Id rather take it out seeing as its cheaper than tracing down the problem. A couple weeks ago my friend went to go put gas in my truck. Got to bout 8 bucks and the other 22 went on the floor. He ain't use to dual tanks and I just want to eliminate that problem seeing as he did the same thing today, but only put 10 in. How do I eliminate having the front tank safely. I'd rather use the rear tank seeing as I'd like to put dual exhaust out the side on my truck.

Simple answer is to cap off the hoses to the tank. If you're never going to put a new tank back in. Clip the end of the harness, silicone and cap the exposed ends of the wires.

Food for thought. I've heard of others swapping out the rear tank for the one off a bronco. Larger capacity. But I'm told you have to lose the spare tire setup at the bottom.

Hope that helps

That does help. And I don't even have a spare tire. Not do I have the setup
