Test fuel pressure regulator
I have a 94 Bronco that will start up just fine but the idol will die after a while or when I rev her up. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fuel pressure regulator but don't really want to have to spend the money on a new one. What is the best way to test the regulator itself? And does any one know where I can get a fairly priced adjustable fuel regulator?

A fuel pressure gauge.
Should be hopefully looking at 40 to 45 psi KOEO. It should hold that pressure for at least a couple minutes after you turn the key off.
Fire it up - at idle pressure should drop 5 to 8 psi.
Slowly open the throttle - pressure should climb back up to max and then drop again as you return to idle.
