Default how can I completely remove my back tank on a 1989 f150

My back tank is giving me a lot of issues and I have to decided to just completely remove it.
and i have a cross flow problem.
Can someone explain the steps to removing the back tank and capping the tubes for it.

I tried to remove mine and it wouldn't start or run with it out.

I'm not sure how but you can remove your rear tank. I bought my 91 with the rear tank gone an it starts and runs fine.

I remove mine an I have a 1988 F150. I just took it out and disconnect the switch that transfer one tank to the other. I just removed the two brackets. Its a tight fit but it came out.
