Yes stock steering parts, 6bt steering pump, f350 springs. I just picked up a 1996 6bt with a 4 speed Allison for 2200. So they are still pretty cheap. As for trans my zf 5 is holding up great!

I like to here only 2200! I just need my 302 to puke. Its got 250,000 miles and runs great. A blessing and a curse i guess, right.

Why wait..mine only had 98 k on it when I pulled it out. Got $800 for it to off set the swap price. Also got $900 for the Allison, adaptor and starter that Was behind my 6bt. The 6bt was a factory reman from cummins with 46 k on it but the turbo was the original. I didn't realize how easy a turbo is to rebuild and only cost about $40. As of last night I have 108,951 on the truck. So that's almost 10k miles on the swap. The only thing I changed over this period was swap in 3.08 gears in place of my 3.55 so I was better on the interstate and have upgraded from the stage 2 clutch to the stage 3. Was slipping the clutch some in 4th and 5th on hard pulls or passing cars. I drive an average of 85 miles a day for work, half city half highway. Getting a consistent 25/26 mpg on winter diesel. Will improve with the summer blend. I also run 1 oz 2 stroke Ashless outboard oil per gallon of diesel. My next swap I'm leaving the 4 speed Allison on and just going to play with the tire size and gears to get it to daily driver stage. Oo I did just order a toolbox gas tank, 32 gallons for my truck. Tired of running of the rear 16 gallon tank and pumping my front tank into my back tank when I get low. Just put a simple 35 Gph fuel pump to transfer the fuel and a switch on the dash.

If any of you need any help or advice just ask...I made a diary of sorts during my swap. I have part numbers, website, people to ask for that will know what you need, pic, wiring diagrams, ac solutions, fan placement, all that crap, everything you need to know and then some. Actually working on putting together an f150 swap guide to release on eBay in a couple weeks.

Well I'm 16 so I don't have the kind of money it would take to swap in the cummins. I gotta have a reason for my parents to lend me enough money to do it. I just spent 2500 to buy the truck and then an additional 3500, of long term saved money, to fix some issues such as the death wobble. It would be great though if you would put that diary on ebay. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
