Default 93 f150 help/modifications?

yesterday i got a 1993 f150 xl, extended cab, short box 4x4 on the floor with a 302 off my boss for free. needs a radiator, starter, battery, inside door handles, the *** for the lights, and a few other small things. the starter works but it likes to give out just before the engine fires. how hard is it to replace the radiator? are there trans cooler lines i need to disconnect like on an exploder?( i have a few first gen ex's) im also looking for ideas on what to do to the truck. i am a small engine/ light duty mechanic, so itll be a work/ play truck. one of the first modifications ill be doing is a sa with a dana 60 out of a 78 f250 that i got for free, along with swapping the rear 8.8 for the dana 70 rear i got with the dana 60 front. once i get some c channel ill be making front and rear bumpers. the front bumper will have my warn 8000 winch on the front along with a home made brush guard out of 1.5" round tube. i know that i can easily fit the dana 60 and 70 to my truck, but around how much lift would my drive shafts need to be extended? could i get away with 6 inches of lift and use the stock length shafts, or will i have to lengthen them? any ideas and suggestions on what i should do to my truck would be great!

Make sure the gear ratios on those axles match. If not you will tear your truck apart. Radiator is not hard especially with a v8 I think they sit farther back and the straight 6 is much longer. Just make sure you don't put a hole in it. Undo the lower and upper hoses drain or plug up the hoses. Put new one in and connect the hoses back up and fill with coolant.

My buddy 6" lifted his 95 5.0 4x4 e4od he didn't extend his driveshafts but they are at a terrible angle and he will tear through u joints. If it fits correctly then I wouldn't bother but if it won't fit at all get them extended

they both came from the same truck, so they should be the same, but ill check the axle tags first. no trans cooler lines need to be removed?

so just to be safe i should get modified shafts that will help not destroy u joints? if i cant get the front to fit but the rear does, ill drive it 5 hours south in 2wd to get new shafts made, or the stock ones modded for the increased angle.

It is entirely up to you. If you like replacing u joints and what not go ahead and keep the stock ones but if you want it to be right get them extended if needed

Default 93 f150 help/modifications?

Thanks. If I have any issues with it than I'll get modified shafts. Now, what else should I do to the truck accessory wise? Any ideas on what to do ( besides an overhaul ) to gain more torque and horses?
