1995 I6 F150 Rough Start
Hey guys,
I have a 1995 f150 I6 4.9, and sometimes it is hard to start.
I usually have to pump the gas and/or try a couple times. I've recently done some work on it just doing a basic tune up ie: fuel filter, oil change, and new spark plugs (I have the wires just haven't done them quite yet). What else should I do for a tune up? Will it stop my rough start issue?
Thanks in advance.

Pumping the gas is a strange thing to have to do on a fuel injected motor.
On a carb engine, that would squirt fuel every time you pumped it.
With EFI all pumping the pedal does is make an electronic sensor (TPS) on the throttle body send different signals to the computer. So I would suggest testing the TPS. You do that with a volt meter - I put a thread up here somewhere on how.
Also check your fuel pressure and your vacuum - you need gauges to do that (but you can buy the gauges for about what a garage will charge you to check things for you, and you get to keep the gauges for next time)
