Default Windshield Washer

My washer gave up on my '92. I pulled the pump and it turns up when I give it 12 volts and my wipers still work, even when I try to use the washer. Is there a relay somewhere? My wife said it went kind of intermittent and you had to mess with the switch before it quit altogether. How do I get the switch apart?

Thanks in advance,
Steve near Chicago

Switch itself wont come apart, it need to be pulled from the column. There is also a possibility of it being the wiper regulator which I believe is on the passenger side behind the glove box
