Throttle only goes in one direction.

According to mechanic, the throttle body was replaced on my truck, and the part came from a different-year truck. He says there was a period of time when the throttle body of the 302 used a thin plastic piece where it bolts on. So, this throttle body requires the use of a different tps. The range of adjustment that's needed is outside of the adjustment available on the tps in my truck. He said he has seen one other case like this. They are going to bring in a few different tps's and see if any of them do the trick. Pain in the butt!

That's weird. I know I have a different style different year throttle body for my 4.9 but it still rotates the same direction.

I probably explained it wrong. The way the mechanic laid it out, there is a voltage range that the sensor needs to be adjusted to (let's call it A to B). But with the sensor that my truck needs (to accommodate the different throttle body), it requires a voltage adjustment in a different range ( C to D).
