here's the story, first I went out to start my truck 2 days ago it cranked once then went completely dead, found out it was the ground I fixed the ground and regained power, now the starter stays engaged and the brand new alternator wont charge anymore,I changed the ignition switch checked the fuse link at the relay from the alternator, changed battery terminals, fixed all grounds, does anyone know what else it could be? I am changing the starter relay in the morning

It's pretty well fused together then. Change it, and a lot of us have doubled the battery positive to prevent it from happening again.

Please explain your last post, about doubling the positive, as my truck is having similar issues. I have a 94 with the 300, and have replaced the starter, positive cables, ignition module, ignition switch, solenoid about 5x, and still no power when I put the key in. However, with everything together, I can jump the solenoid with a butter knife and it sounds like the starter is staying engaged, which burns it up. Roadside is bringin her home again, but I need to fix it, as the old lady is givin me the look again. Thanks.

Oh yea, yours is different. You have two solenoids.

Those look like welding cables, I would use those for ground straps also. Run one from a starter mounting bolt to the frame to get more current thru the starter, it helps pull heat away from the starter also.
