Default Spark plug anti-seize?

I have been reading up on putting anti seize on spark plugs.

Apparently there is a big controversy on the topic. I have always just put a small amount on one side of the threads maybe 15 degrees wide.

I read however that anti seize is non conductive, so since the spark plug is grounded through the threads, so in effect the anti seize is decreasing the ground's surface area.

Has anyone here done any similar testing?

I found some copper anti seize online, and have ordered it for my next plug job. But it has not arrived yet for me to test.

Does anyone have any wisdom to this matter?

i have always used copper or silver anti-seize on my plugs and have not had a problem both are conductive anyone who says they are not should leard how to use a volt meter and check the ohm resistance in a jar of anti-seize

Thanks for the replies guys. This makes me feel better about years of silver anti seize use on my spark plugs. I will defiantly test the difference between the resistance of the copper and the silver types.

Default Spark Plug Anti-Seize??

Here is what NGK has to say:

http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/pdf/TB-...1antisieze.pdf

For aicraft piston engines we ALWAYS use anti-seize...

One of these bottles will pretty much last a lifetime - I carefully clean the cap and threads and have been using my bottle for over 15 years - still half full!
