Gears are way way cheaper, at least they were last time I checked. Also can go for ultra ghetto method and use regular nuts (5/16 I believe)

I hate to say it, but it worked, I didn't use a rubber mallet just took off the door card and with the back of my hand pounded on the metal the motor is attached to ...it started working

Your motor is going out then. Best to replace it before it gives out completely.
