photo of starter solenoid wiring needed
Hello, I am a new member with my first F150.
Dad and I trailered it home, knowing we had some wiring to sort out..
Can someone post a picture of the fender mounted solenoid of your truck please. Ours has all the wires removed and getting them back in the proper places is first step to getting this project going. Thank you, Ben

What year? There is some difference between 1991 and older, and 1992 and newer.
Basically all the wires including the cable coming from the positive battery post go on one large terminal on the solenoid, EXCEPT the cable going to the starter which goes on the other large terminal.
On the 1992 and newer the cable going to the starter will be a smaller wire, about 12 or 14 gauge, and will likely be grouped together, but not electrically, with the cable coming from the positive battery terminal. On 1991 and older trucks there will be a full size battery cable running to the starter.
Hopefully someone will post you a picture, but they will need to know the year of your truck.

Ah, I clicked on your other post and I see you have a 1987. All the cables should go on the large terminal farthest from the battery EXCEPT the cable that goes down to the starter which goes on the terminal closest to the battery.
