Default OBD-1 - Translation

1992 Ford F-150 - Inline 4.9
I am trying to find something that tells me what to look for based on the OBD-1 Code
For example
Code 338 says "Cooling System" but that is all I can find..............needing something more definitive that tells me what to look for or what component is likely to be the problem

That code says "cooling system did not heat up - check thermostat operation".
Or your temperature sensor may be malfunctioning - that one's just my guess, assuming you did warm it up to operating temperature before pulling that code.
