NSS? Neutral safety switch? That has nothing to do with the reverse lights. Switch is on the transmission.

Neutral safety switch and reverse switch are the same thing?

Not for a 5 speed. It's the clutch switch not a neutral safety switch.

The reverse switch is a little red 2 wire plug on the drivers side of the transmission.

Try this, exact same wiring and colors as the F150 just without the rear window defrost.

Unplug the connector at the reverse light switch on the transmission, then with the key in the run position use a volt meter to see if you have power on one wire at the connector. If not, follow back up the line to the fuse. If you do have power then plug it back in and follow the wiring harness to the rear of the truck and look for broken wires. Then unplug the connector at the rear of the frame and check for voltage again. Also, check/redo the ground at the rear of the frame. Most electrical problems are ground related in my experience.
