Left turn signal does not flash

Left turn signal does not flash
Had issues with my turn signals many months ago where the flasher would get hot and lock up (no flash). Replaced with a new flasher and has been fine for months... now, only the right side flashes. Putting it on left gives me a steady light... how is that even possible since they both use the same flasher???

Or it could just be that my rear left taillight is out... doh! I'll try swapping it out and see if that fixes it. I guess I'm just used to it flashing faster than normal if a bulb blows?
