Ignition doesn't work, strange issue
1991 f150 xlt lariat 4x4 5.8L V8 351 EFI 146000miles
Alright here's the low-down, about early april a man came to look at the truck to buy it and it was idling and right when he got in it shut off abd stopped running, took a bit to figure out the issue but it was the distributor computer after that it ran fine but mid april my brother took it for a drive and at a gas station he went to restart it after pumping and well there was nothing. AAA came and taught him how to touch both sides of the solenoid together and afyer doing that for a week or so and replacing the solenoid that stopped working. I took it to a shop and they said it was the starter so I got that replaced but now only 3 or so montgs later the key is not working again. I've tried everything and nothing is working. I've checked the ignition push rod thing and its all fine and every once in awhile the key works fine for 5 or so drives straight then just stops. I've traced the wires to the starter and nothing is wrong I really need help because this is killing me.
also so you know when I turn the key dummy lights come on and the fuel pump engages. all the power comes on but there are no clicks or any noise when I turn it to the crank position.
here is a list of all the parts I have replaced/ installed:
Power Steering high pressure hose
4 Radiator hoses
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
Battery Terminal
Ignition Coil
Distributor Computer
Fuel filter
Intake manifold
Transmission
Drive shaft
Ignition Starter Switch
Starter
Starter Soleniod
Kenwood radio unit
Oil and oil filter
Windshield wipers
Coolant Tempurature Sender
Oil Pressure Sender
Rear ABS Sensor
Air Filter
