Default Fuel Tank Selector Switch

Can anyone help me with this problem with my fuel tank selector switch on my 93 F150 Lightning 5.8L 351W. Every-time I push the switch to get fuel out of the rear tank the truck shuts off after a couple of seconds, could that possibly be a bad switch or some other problem. How many fuel pumps does this truck have, are there one in each tank or just one. Thanks in advance for any ideas or help: John231

Sounds like your rear fuel pump is bad. Start your truck and switch to the rear tank and ket it die.. then cycle the key and see if you can hear the pump trying to pump.. If not it could be a wiring issue.. But if you hear it, go under the hood to the front driver side of the engine and on the fuel rail there is a little plastic cap covering a valve, like on a bicycle tire, take a pen or something and push down on the little pin in the valve and see if fuel spurts out.. If not then you most likely have a bad pump. It should squirt about 6 or 8 inches up.
