Question ECM or PCM or by whatever name it's known by.

My truck is a 90' f-150 302 with multi-port. my computer is located behind the drivers side kick panel with 1 retaining screw. There is a 10mm bolt holding the harness clip in the engine compartment. My question is how do I remove it now? I've been told it has to come out through the engine compartment but I don't see how without doing some major cutting of inner fender well or remove it which I am not familiar with. Any help would be great!

Unbolt it, disconnect the connection under the hood and it comes out in the cab.

It would be an ECM, engine control module most likely. A PCM is a powertrain control module (engine and transmission) which I don't believe they started using by 90.
Just so you know the difference, anyway.

Quick Reply: ECM or PCM or by whatever name it's known by.
