Request help trouble shooting starting issues
I have a 1992 F150 XLT Automatic with intermittent starting issues. If I take a screw driver and crawl underneath the truck I can short the starter relay and it starts just fine. I have already replaced the key cylinder lock hoping that would fix it, but it didn't. Currently I have a wire connecting the starter relay directly to the battery through a push button switch - works fine, but very unprofessional and my son drives this truck - so I'd rather not bypass the safety switches. The neutral safety switch is possible, I think it has seven wires, but unsure how to test it. I also understand there may be some type of ignition actuator, but unsure about that as well. Any help/advice would be great appreciated!
