Default Day time running lights

Just curious. Is there a way to make it so your headlights dont come on when the ignition is switched to on or the truck is running? And is there anything to make it so the cargo light turns on only when you need it on, not every time the door is open?

Daytime running light module is on the front of the rad saddle below the drivers side turn signal. I don't think you can just unplug it, I think there's a bypass plug you plug in after you unplug the module.
Cargo light you would have to run a bypass wire and a switch.

I unplugged my DTRL module and never looked back. Everything works fine with it unplugged.

You'll need to modify the door light switches, or disconnect them and mount a new switch somewhere, to control the dome light as you describe. That circuit probably also controls the clearance lights in the lower part of the door. Just guessing.
