Default Coolant temp sensor questions

I have a 92 f150 with a fox body 5.0 swap and when I did the swap I put a 160° thermostat in it..obviously the computer doesn't like that its out of range and pops a code (21 I believe) for coolant temp out of range. Is there any thing I can do/get to make the computer "think" that its in the proper range??? Maybe a temp sensor from another model?? I bought a 195° thermostat today and just was wanting to see if anybody had an idea before I swapped them out.

Why not use the correct thermostat so it is in the proper range?

It actually tricks the computer and lets it run a tad rich and compensates for the extra air my intake kit adds..it runs 14.8 right now on my o2 sensor..

I've tried both and it runs better with the 160° but I want my CEL off so looking for some ideas of doing it without actually changing thermostats.

Not being smart, just curious. Do you think the coolant would be hotter at the head? Is there a coolant port on the head like Chevy?

Good question, I'm not entirely sure but I know it can't be as hot in the intake as it would be in the heads but I don't know of any plugs in the heads besides the freeze plugs...

I didn't know if I could get a dummy sensor for it like I have for my EGR or if there was another way around it...
