Note also that there are only a few actual manufacturers, and they make different levels of batteries for different brands. I'm in the Midwest, and when I replace batteries I almost always choose the EverStart Maxx line at Walmart (and I hate Walmart). Why? Warranty. The EverStart Plus line has a 2 year free replacement warranty. The EverStart Maxx line has a 5 year warranty - 3 years of free replacement and 2 years pro-rated. For the 1996 F-150 5 liter, you get 750 CCA with the EverStart Plus 65-3 for $99.97 and 850 CCA for the EverStart Maxx MAXX-65N for $109.97. If you are planning on selling the car in the next year or two, you cannot beat the $48.88 Value Power VP-65, with 1 year free replacement and 650 CCA.
Thanks I currently have an EverStart Maxx and I love it. It was going on 6 years old and was perfect until I broke down too many times and kept cranking the truck over until it was totally drained and I have had a couple problems in the past with the door not closing all the way and the dome light being left on and draining it completely so I'm sure if it wasn't for that it would still be great

I've never owned one but I read about some and wanted one because of the amount of time they last but then I read about their quality totally going downhill in the past years

Dual hybrid battery. Deep cycle and super high CCA.
5 year free replacement no questions asked. I love it.
I bought at Batteries Plus Bulbs after a few weeks of research for the "best" battery
X2 Power AGM-sealed.

How much did you pay for it?

It was around 250.00... Not cheap but its like the heart to my truck, I don't want to be stranded and I run about 16 different Rigid lights from ny truck. I need (want) the power of this level of spill proof sealed battery.

Take a look at the Duracell batteries at Sams Club:

Think they are the same as the Deka batteries. I plan on getting one soon. Great batteries especially if you have an aftermarket stereo system.

There are only 3 battery manufacturers in the US. Exide, Johnson Controls, and East Penn Deka. They label the batteries for each company or store.

Chances are a battery that you hate is made by the same company as the battery you love.
