Unhappy AC problems

Got a 95' f-150 xl with 4.9 six cylinder. Having problem with ac. Not getting power to condenser. Fuse is OK under dash. Owners manual does not list any fuse or relay under hood for ac. Freon is OK. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! The Doodle

The condenser doesn't require power, it just helps cool the refrigerant. Could you mean some other part?

You mean no power to the a/c compressor clutch? There's no power to the condenser, its a heat exchanger and all it does is turn high pressure gas/vapor from the a/c compressor to high pressure liquid from air flow from driving or the cooling fan passing through to cool the refrigerant, hence the name condenser.

My bad. I don't know a lot about ac, but it is the clutch. It will not engage nor does it get power to the connection at the clutch. Thanks

Check the wiring for burnt or cracked sheathing. Could be just a simple break in the wire.

How do you know the refrigerant level is okay?

You may try to reference an electrical diagram of your trucks a/c system. Chilton and Haynes can be had for about $30 at your local auto store eg: autozone etc. Once you've reviewed the wiring diagrams you can then trouble shoot the loop. Hopefully the conclusion is not a bad compressor. If your compressor has been recently running fine and not making any weird noises and this is an all of a sudden situation it is likely that you
A) do not have proper amount of freon pressure within the system which would indicate a leak as this should be a sealed system. The compressor will not engage if the pressure is too low. Be sure not to overfill as this can be a headache for you to deal with.
B) The electrical circuit containing the compressor has a bad connection or bad ground. This is essential for the PCM to "communicate" with the compressor or allow electrical current to engage the electro magnet which turns the compressor.
C) it's also a good idea to check the tension of the belts and do another visual inspection.

... With all of this said, it's hard to guesstimate a solution to your problem without more info.
-Can you provide the psi off the low side with engine off.
-When was the last time your a/c actually worked and how long has it been? Did the truck sit up unused or is it a daily driver?
-Can you submit pics indicating what component you are talking about?

It's also safe to consider relays within the system. ..
